Cameroun Shipping Lines, S.A. based in Douala (Cameroon) has a horizontal green, yellow, green flag.  In the center is a red "C" in the form of a shrimp. Image after Brown's Flags and Funnels of Shipping Companies of the World, compiled by J.L. Loughran, Glasgow, (1995) [lgr95].

Cameroun comes from Mount Cameroun, which in the original Portuguese was "Monte dos Camarões" (meaning mountain of shrimps).
António Martins-Tuválkin, 10 Jan 2006

Cameroun Shipping Lines (aka CAMSHIP) was created in 1974 during the First Republic of Cameroon (1960-1982) with the purchase of six cargo ships. CAMSHIP and the Council of Charterers were later restructured and CAMSHIP was privatized in 1999 following recommendations by the World Bank.
