Introduction

The municipality of Castrillo de Cabrera (165 inhabitants in 2009; 11,587 ha) is located in the south-west of the Leon Province, 130 km of Leon.

Description

The flag and arms of Castrillo de Cabrera, designed by Vicente Tocino Letrado and Tomás Rodríguez Peñas, are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 25 June 2005 by the Municipal Council, signed on 28 July 2006 by the Mayor, and published on 8 August 2006 in the official gazette of Castile and Leon, No. 152, p. 15,065-15,066. The symbols are described as follows:

Municipal flag: Rectangular flag with proportions 2:3, made of a red flag with a yellow tower masoned black surrounded by a ring of six yellow Greek crosses.

Coat of arms: Per fess, 1. Gules a tower or masoned sable port and windows azure orled of six Greek crosses or, 2a. Azure a gentian or, 2b. Or two goats ["cabra"] passant sable langued gules. The shield surmountedby a Royal crown closed.
