The Municipality of Ivanska is located 15 km south of Bjelovar. It has 3,500 inhabitants, of which only 850 live in the village of the same name.
The name of the place was developed from its patron saint St. John the Baptist (Sveti Ivan Krstitelj), to whom a church was dedicated there in the 14th century.

The symbols of Ivanska were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.
The flag (image, County website) is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
