The coat of arms is "Gules a hand argent issuant from dexter holding a sabre and in sinister chief a mullet of the same".
It is the modernization of the coat of arms shown in the Fojnica Armorial (16th century) and preserved in a stone carving on the Venetian fountain (17th century) in the middle of the town.

"Bura" is the Croatian name of the north-eastern wind blowing from the coast towards sea in wintertime, very strong and feared by sailors.
The burgee of the club (website) is a triangular light blue burgee with a yellow arrowhead and the coat of arms of Makarska at hoist. The coat of arms is represented after the one preserved in a stone carving on a square in Makarska, here in blue and yellow.
