The coat of arms is "Azure St. Michael holding a sword and scales standing on a bridge all argent".
Trilj is an old town on river Cetina; since antiquity there was a bridge called Pons Tiluri or Tilurium. The modern bridge, featured on the coat of arms, was built only in 1851. St. Michael is the patron saint of the town.

Košute Local Community

The village of Košute, territorially part of the Town of Trilj, issued a contest for a coat of arms and a flag on 30 April 2008. It seems that by now no design was adopted following that contest.
