Flag of Kukljica - Image by Željko Heimer, 4 October 2003
Kukljica covers the southern end of the Ugljan island, situated in front of Zadar. The muncipality is formed in 1997 by secession from the municipality of Kali, covering now the central part of the island.

The symbols of Kukljica were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Azure a 'snowflake' cross argent above a boat or".
These charges symbolically represent the local feast of Mary ad Nives (Our Lady of Snow, Gospa Snježna) that has been celebrated on 5 August uninterrupted since almost 500 years. In the main procession the statue of the Virgin is transferred from the local church to a chapel by boat.
