About the flag

It is a fairily typical portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms centered on a plain green background. Flag and arms adopted and published in the official journal Diário do Governo : I Série in 1935.04.27.

The arms are Argent a bunch of grapes fruited Purple and leaved Vert above two branches of olive with their stems crossed and four ears of wheat like wise all Vert and in counter chief three wavy fesses Azure. Mural crown argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "Vila de Carrazeda de Ansiães".

Presentation of Carrazeda de Ansiães

Carrazeda de Ansiães municipality had 7642 inhabitants in 2001 and consists of 19 communes covering 280,91 km². It is part of Bragança District, traditional province and 1999 ref. adm. region Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, C.C.R. / NUTS II Norte, and NUTS III Douro.
