The company is located in Oldendorf. Owner is Klaus tom Wöhrden. The company has a long tradition. In 1911 Claus-Wilhelm tom Wörden, the great grandfather of the nowadays owner, built an own sailing ship , which ran a service between Northern Europe and the Baltic countries, then part of Russia. His son Wilhelm tom Wörden built a motor sailing ship in 1940, and his son Klaus-Wilhelm tom Wörden built a coastal liner in 1955.
Description of flag of tom Wörden: The flag is divided by saltire into white and blue. A red “t” is in the hoist quarter, a red capital “W” in the fly quarter.

In 1985 the current owner, Klaus tom Wörden added a container feeder to the fleet and the company since then expanded constantly and runs today 13 freighters and 15 container feeders. There are also a NAVALIS INVEST GmbH & Co. KG, maintaining financial services and Navalis Shipping Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH, maintaining administration.

Description of flag of NAVALIS:
It is a blue flag with a light blue squarish tressure. Inside the tressure are a red bow and a blue triangular object. At the bottom is a white inscription “NAVALIS”.
