Overview

Here is an image and photo of the flag (gonfalone) of the province of Frosinone. This flag was approved by Regio Decreto (= Royal Decree) on 14 July 1928 and was registered by Consulta Araldica (= Heraldic Council) on 21 July 1928. The description of the flag is on Art.2 of the Statuto (= Statute) of the Province of Frosinone. This flag is a combination of the symbols of the two territories that was united in 1928 as the Province of Frosinone: the golden lion is the symbol of the City of Frosinone, formerly in Province of Rome, and the horns with fruits and corn was the standard of Terra di Lavoro (=Land of Labour), the southern part of the province that was in Province of Caserta since 1928.
