Description of the flag

The flag and arms are prescribed by decision Odlok o grbu, zastavi in prazniku Obcine Rogasovci, adopted on 1 October 1999, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, nr. 91/99, 10 November 1999, with effect on 16 November 1999.

The symbols were designed by Valt Jurecic of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.

Valt mentioned that the name of the municipality should have been Rogasevci, but the local inhabitants pronounce it as Rogasovci. The village of Sveti Jurij is a small village upon a hill, once important as camp in wars against Turks. Even smaller nearby village of Rogasevci gave the name of the municipality. The process of the making of the symbols was very difficult and full of compromises.

The flag is rectangular in ratio 2:5, horizontally divided blue-white-blue, with sa quare blue field at hoist containing the attribute from the coat of arms, St. George slayering the dragon.
