Description of the flag

Nijlen is located in the arrondissement of Mechelen.

The flag is quartered:

• 1 & 4: a yellow lion with red tongue and claws, placed on a black field.
• 2 & 3: a red lion with yellow tongue, claws and crown, placed on a white field.

The flag was adopted by Municipal decision 4 February 1985, confirmed by Ministerial decision 2 September 1985.
