Description of the flag

Koksijde (19,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Veurne. Koksijde is a bathing resort.

The flag is: Quarterly, I Vert inescutcheon or two crossed crosiers Gules, above an eagle-claw Sable, beneath a fish Sable, over it a fess Azure; II or; III Argent; IV Azure, a shrimper on a horse outlined Or. Proportions are 2:3.

The flag was adopted on 14 June 1988.
