Description of the flag

Lichtervelde (8,000 inhabitants) is located in the arrondissement of Roeselare.

The flag is: Party per pale, Azure and Argent, centrally in the upper half of the pale Argent, an escutcheon Azure with a chief ermine (4:3). Proportions are 2:3 and 1:2 in the escutcheon.

The flag was adopted on 10 December 1986.
