reported the last addition to the set of the naval flags was made in 1975, by the order of the Commander of the Fleet of 8 February1975. Four flags were adopted, in which still the Soviet influence is very obvious.

Ivanov (1998) recounts that the post-1975 regulations of the Navy are not available due to the confidentiality of the documents. Once they are declassified, we may get some more data.

Deputy Minister of the People's Defence of the Navy (Flag na zamestnik-minist'ra na narodnata otbrana po VMF). As naval ensign with the star replaced by a red anchor topped with a red five-pointed star and surrounded with a golden wreath and with a light blue stripe though the middle of the white field broken at the emblem. Naval Rescue Vessels Ensign (Flag na avariino-spasitelnite korabi na VMF). Light blue flag with the naval ensign in canton and with white disk in fly with black diver's helmet.
