Per fess Argent and Gules overall a Chamois Sable stantant on Coupeaux Or.

The animal on the flag of Gams is a chamois (in German "Gemse"). It is wrong canting flag as the name of the commune comes not from the chamois but from old Romansch Campesias (in Rheto-Romanish "champ [de] beschas", in German "Schafweide") which means "field of sheep".
