Flag of Topola

The flag of the municipality of Topola was designed after the banners of the dukes involved in the First Serbian Uprising. The two baroque-style frames contain:

The First Serbian Uprising took place in 1804-1813. Topola is the place where Karadjordje lived and from where he led the uprising. Karadjordje's mausoleum is in Topola (St. George's Church, Oplenac). The choice of the flag of Karagjorgje's troops is, therefore, appropriate for the municipality.
