The jagged town wall refers to status of town. Bunch of acorns refers to oak-wood of Saue and symbolizes stability and durability and together with the color of green symbolizes environmental friendliness and harmonic life-environment.

The Previously Reported Flag may be the flag of Saue alev. Saue was upgraded to town in 1993.

http://www.rk.ee/symb previously reported this flag of Saue Linn , adopted: 12 August 1991 and proportions: 7:11. It seems the either Saue linn changed its flag and CoA or the former reported flag was wrong
