Faucigny is one of the traditional provinces of Savoy. It is roughly made of the valleys of the rivers Arve and Giffre.
In the XI-XIIIth centuries, the lords of Faucigny were the most powerful in Savoy. In 1290, Beatrix de Faucigny founded a new capital city, called , and attracted there several merchants by suppressing all taxes. The city is now called Bonneville.
Faucigny was incorporated into Savoy in 1355.
