It was in use from 1964.01.01-1966.02.28. The white stripe was a feature of the flag of the ruling Convention Peoplesʼ Party. After Kwame Nkrumah was kicked out the older flag was restored.

What the ensigns in 1960-1964 (Naval, Air Force, civil at sea, and civil air), when the middle stripe of the national flag was white? Iʼm sure these ensigns (if they existed previously) were relegislated — but were they really used?

I suspect that at least some of the flag might not have been in use in these only two years.

The Air Force flag was created much letter than the 60ʼs, probably only in 1980ʼs. Indeed we cannot confirm the existance of the two light-blue ensigns [incl. civ.] in 1964 variants
