House flag of Teo - Image by Jarig Bakker, 31 January 2006
Teo Shipping Corporation is part of the Theocarakis Group of Companies, which started in Piraeus in 1924 as a small firm selling car accessories and liquid fuel set up by Nicholas J. Theocarakis (b. 1898). In 1961, Nicholas and his two sons John and Basil became the exclusive distributors of Nissan cars in Greece and indeed the first distributors of Nissan in Europe.
Teo Shipping Corp. was founded in 1976. The company operates a fleet of modern bulk carriers and containers.
The Theocarakis Group is involved in several other branches of trade, banking and industry.

According to Brown's Flags and Funnels of Shipping Companies of the World (1995) [lgr95], the house flag of Teo is horizontally divided blue-white-blue with a red letter T overall.
Jarig Bakker, 31 January 2006This flag would appear to have been modernized, perhaps in conjunction with company shifting from Piraeus to Athens. In any advent the flag as shown on Josef Nüsse's website and displayed on their vessels funnels shows more of a sky blue field with a narrow white horizontal band and overall a more ornate red "T" outlined white.
