Overview

Šurmanec (Djurmanec) is a community in the Krapina-Zagorje County, about 5, 000 inhabitants, the village of the same name with just under 1,000 inhabitants. It is located some 50 km north of Zagreb, just northwest of Krapina towards the Slovenian broder, on the highway connecting Zagreb with Maribor, Graz and further north to Vienna.
The coat of arms pictures St. George and in the chief a linden leaf, the cheques and a bunch of grapes. The shield is topped with a ribbon inscribed with the name of the community
