Local Council of Ramat Yishay (named after Israel Yehuda Adler, a philantrop who donated for its establishment) is situated on west Jizrael valley, on the main road between Haifa and Nazareth (Road 75). Established as a village of weavers and textile workers, and named Jida. Later it was renamed Manor and Yefe Nof. It was almost fully deserted after few years and only donation by Israel Yehuda Adler in 1944 saved it and it was renamed in his honor shortly afterwards. Local Council since 1958.
