About the flag

This flag was originally created in 1971 as an intergovernmental organization (or an agency within COMECON?), but now seems to be an international “multinational” private company.

I think it was a separate organisation, but between the Comecon member countries. There were several of these Inter-somethings, and probably others as well. I'm not sure why they were separate entities; Comecon always seemed to organise the practical details separately.
