Norg is since 1 Jan 1998 part of the municipality of Noordenveld in Drenthe, the Netherlands. Flag adopted 11 januari 1974.

The horse stands for the horsemarket, which dates from the 16th century; the fort reminds of the 'Zwartendijkse schans', which guarded the road from Friesland to Drenthe.
