The coat of arms is or, a rose gules between two ogival escuteons azure, charged with 11 bezants argent in 3+2+3+2+1, all entangled in two vines, one fruited or and the other purple, both leaved vert. Mural crown argent with five visible towers (city rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "CIDADE DO CARTAXO".
