Presentation of the municipality

The municipality of Jursinci was formed in 1995 by secession from Ptuj. It is located about half way between Ptuj and Murska Sobota in the Slovenske gorice (Slovenian Hills), a low hilly region between the rivers Drava and Mura.

Description of the flag

The first municipal statutes Statut Obcine Jursinci were adopted in 1995 and published in the local official gazette Uradni vestnik obcin Ormoz in Ptuj (Gorisnica, Kidricevo, Majsperk, Videm, Dornava), nr. 12 / 1995.

The flag and coat of arms are prescribed by the amendment Spremembe in dopolnitve statuta Obcine Jursinci, adopted on 13 November 1998, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 80/98.

The current statutes Statut obcine Jursinci were published in the local gazette Uradni vestnik Obcine Jursinci, nr. 1 / 1999.

The aforementioned amendement says that "The flag is rectangular, 190x90 [cm?], lengthwise bicolour, yellow over green, with in each the branch and the grill from the coat of arms near the hoist.
