Presentation of the municipality

The municipality of Dobrna was formed in 1998 by secession from Vojnik, which had seceded in 1995 from Celje.

Municipal flag of Dobrna

The flag and arms of Dobrna are mentioned in the municipal statutes Statut Občine Dobrna, adopted on 10 May 1999 and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 47/1999, and are prescribed by decision Odlok o istovetnostnih simbolih Občine Dobrna, adopted on 29 March 2001, and published in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 27/2001.

The symbols were designed by Valt Jurečič of Heraldika d.o.o. and Heraldica Slovenica, who kindly provided drawings from which the images shown on this page were made.

The flag is rectangular, in proportion 2:5, blue with two vertical yellow stripes forming a square field in the middle of the flag containing the attribute of the coat of arms, the bowl sprinkling water.
