Pezinok is 10 km NE of Bratislava with 15.000 inhabitants. It was made a free royal town in 1647 and delivered to the royal court in return for its royal privileges a yearly tribute of 150 buckets of wine. Gold mines existed here until the last century. Pezinok (Hungarian: Bazin, German: Bösing was in Pozsony (Slovakian: Prešporok) county in Hungary till 1918/1920 (Declaration of Martin). 1920-1938 Czechoslovakian, 1939-1945 Slovakian, and 1945-1992 Czechoslovakian. City walls from 1643, City Hall (Renaissance), Gothic Roman Catholic Church, Renaissance Pálffy Mansion.

Pezinok has Vert Immaculata in cloth Vert and Coat Gules, Crowned. Standing on crescent Argent pointed downwards and on sphere or, all within a aureole Or ( with straight and flamy rays).
