A quartered with red dividing lines. The upper is green and shows a rural scene child's drawing; the upper fly is dark blue and bears the town name; the lower hoist is dark blue and bears 1685; the lower fly is white and bears 6 evergreen trees and a deciduous tree. Boxford is in Essex County.
